1. We provide a forum for discussion and open consultation on important topical issues along with an opportunity to meet people from various backgrounds.
We hold exciting and informative lunchtime meetings on such issues as world peace, racism, religious belief and human nature. Our goal is to look beyond party politics and doctrinal prejudice to the underlying forces shaping our world.
Our aim is to foster a spirit of unity that overcomes cultural, religious and ideological barriers.
2. The Bahá'í Society is intended to stimulate, inspire, and serve thinking people in their search to find relationships between modern life and spirituality.
We provide a forum for those who are convinced that only through unity can mankind escape destruction and move resolutely toward a world civilisation.
We provide an opportunity for discussion of the problems that must be solved if the goal of a unified and peaceful humanity is ever to be achieved.
Believing that religion is the source of a human being's highest aspirations and ultimately the only force capable of leading humankind to peace and unity, we will deal with principles of the Bahá'í Faith, as well as with the other religious movements of the world.
Thus our society represents a dialogue among those, whether Bahá'í or not, whose efforts to understand and do something about the human condition have brought them to a point at which the exchange of ideas and insights will be of common benefit.
3. The society believes that as we approach the end of the century, all the intractable problems confronting us have been fused into one common concern for the whole world. In this context the Bahá'í Society can provide a unique function. It practices open and frank consultation of topical issues without party political bias or doctrinal prejudice. It invites societies with common interests to meet together. And, most importantly, it is the only society that aims to reconcile the conflicting creeds that have caused so many of the conflicts in and between individuals. It aspires to provide an opportunity for students to share information and learn tolerance toward other religious faiths in this cosmopolitan university. The potential is there and the need urgent.
4. The aim of the Bahá'í Society is dialogue - dialogue with individuals and groups who are interested in asking questions about the nature of man and society. We provide a unique function at the university by creating a forum for the open and frank discussion of topical issues, without party political bias or doctrinal prejudice.
We hold exciting and informative discussions, meetings and seminars on such issues as world peace, human rights, religious understanding and the goal of a new world order aiming to appreciate and evoke the spiritual and moral attitudes that the possibility for enduring solutions can be found. By inviting different societies and individuals of varied backgrounds to meet together, we aim to foster a spirit of unity that overcomes cultural, religious and ideological barriers. All can contribute to this endeavour.
