Youth and Junior Youth Weekends

The Council is pleased to see that regular youth and junior youth weekends are being held in Scotland, arranged by our youth committee and by individuals who have acted on their own initiative. These weekends have been well attended by many Bahá'í youth and their friends. The next weekend organised by the youth committee will take place on 31st March to 2nd April 2006 at Stirling Youth Hostel, and will cost £30 (full board). For more information contact Dan Staudt at dan_staudt@hotmail.com.

Children’s Classes

A resource pack has been prepared to assist the believers in starting local children’s classes and is available from the Training Institute Board.

Claiming Expenses

The Council would like to remind all claimants for expenses which have been approved by the Council that their claim form and receipts must be submitted to the Council treasurer no later than 4 weeks after the event or expenditure. The submission of late claims is causing serious problems for the Finance Office and can, ultimately, result in the non-payment of late claims.

Summer School 2006

For your diaries – please note that next year's summer school will be in St Andrews on 29th July to 5th August. (Don't worry we will not the using the same flats). More information in the next issue of the newsletter and on Scottish Announce.

The Forth Clyde Cluster

Claire Parris emphasising the
urgency of the present time.
An excellent cluster reflection meeting was organised by the newly appointed Area Teaching Committee, Narcisse Sabour, Nasrin O'Kane and Claire Parris.
Around 55 participants enjoyed the sense of occasion and excitement enhanced by the presence of the Counsellor Shirin Fozdar-Foroudi, National Assembly member John Parris and representations from the Auxiliary Board, Bahá'í Council for Scotland and the Training Institute Board.
Many commented on the tangible atmosphere of energy and enthusiasm that resulted in a number of pledges being made to move the cluster even closer to the goals of the five year plan.
Mo leads the singing
At its last meeting the Council had the privilege of consulting with representatives from the Area Teaching Committee, the Auxiliary Board and the Training Institute Board regarding the progress of the plan in the Forth Clyde cluster and we all await with excitement the fruits of the pledges made at the last cluster meeting.

With loving Bahá’í greetings,
The Bahá’í Council for Scotland
