Community Activities

  • Children’s classes are held weekly after school and are well attended, and Junior Youth workshops are held every week in the evening. Individual members of the community often hold impromptu meetings with prayers.
  • Members of the community are involved in running of Bahá'í children's events on Skye and in the Outer Hebrides.
  • The community publishes a newsletter in order to keep its scattered members informed of what is happening and there is a regular calendar of events.
  • There are, of course, many other activities, but the most important are those involving the children.

Diary of events

  • In addition to all the Bahá’í Holy Days and Feasts, we try to commemorate those UN days that are relevant to the teachings of the Faith, such as Race Unity Day, One World Week, Human Rights Day. In addition we commemorate World Religion Day.
  • The calendar is fairly full with regular children’s classes, 19 Day Feasts and Assembly meetings, not to mention regular meetings for worship. If you are thinking of visiting Skye, contact us for details of what is on (+44+(0)1471-822 946 or 822 317).
